PA Increases Funding for Terrorism to $355M, Rewarding Those Who Kill Jews

(Worthy News) – The Palestinian Authority just increased part of its budget that pays convicted terrorists and their families. The move comes despite pressure from the United States to end the practice.

“From Friday, the day that he [the terrorist who killed three people in the settlement of Halamish recently]  was arrested and he will get a life sentence for murder and his salary is eventually going to reach 12,000 shekels, which is in the area of about 4,000 US dollars a month,” Palestinian Media Watch director Itamar Marcus told CBN News.

The U.S. and the European Union condemn this practice and have pressured the Palestinian leadership to stop, but according to Marcus, the funding has increased.

The P.A.’s 2017 budget increased funds for terror prisoners by 13 percent and their families by 4 percent. This year, direct funding of terrorism has reached $355 million. [ Source:CBN News (Read More…) ]

Republicans reject Trump’s call to let Obamacare implode

Republicans reject Trump’s call to let Obamacare implode

(Worthy News) – Republicans in Congress are rejecting President Trump’s call to let Obamacare “implode” after the Senate failed to advance legislation to repeal former President Barack Obama’s health care law.

Senate Republicans said hours their failed vote that they should continue to work on health care reform, although they disagreed on a way forward and had no immediate plans to act.

House Republicans, having passed legislation to partially repeal the Affordable Care Act in the spring said flatly that Trump’s off-again, on-again recommendation that he might deliberately let the law crash to put pressure on Congress to respond is unacceptable and wouldn’t be tolerated by their voters. Republicans call on new Trump chief of staff to fix White House chaos

(Worthy News) – Republicans on Sunday urged President Donald Trump’s new chief of staff John Kelly to rein in the chaos within the White House on Monday but said the retired Marine Corps general will be challenged to assert control.

In his first six months in office, Trump has upended White House convention with a loose decision-making style and an open-door policy to his Oval Office for advisers, both internal and external. Infighting among his senior staff has become bitter and public.

“He’s going to have to reduce the drama, reduce both the sniping within and reduce the leaks, and bring some discipline to the relationships,” Karl Rove, a Republican strategist and former White House adviser to George W. Bush, said on “Fox News Sunday.” [ Source:Reuters (Read More…) ]

After space launch, US envoy warns: We can’t trust Iran

(Worthy News) – The United States punished Iran on Friday for launching a satellite-carrying rocket into space by hitting six Iranian entities with sanctions that target the country’s ballistic missiles program.

Three European nations that helped broker the landmark Iran nuclear deal in 2015 joined the U.S. in condemning the launch, and said it was too close for comfort to the type of intercontinental ballistic missiles used to deliver a nuclear payload.

At the United Nations, U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley said Iran was “breaking its obligation” and added, “We can’t trust them.” [ Source:Israel Hayom (Read More…) ]
