(Worthy News) – The head of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency is “100 percent certain” that Iran remains committed to developing a nuclear bomb and believes the international community must change or scrap its nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic.

Yossi Cohen, who leads the shadowy spy agency, has been holding discussions about the Iranian nuclear program and delivered his assessment in a recent closed meeting with senior officials, according to a person who attended the meeting.

(Worthy News) – An Israeli aircraft targeted an armed Palestinian approaching the Gaza security fence early Thursday morning, the army said, as border tensions persisted after at least 18 Palestinians were reported killed in clashes over the past week.

The Israel Defense Forces said the man was inside the northern Gaza Strip, but was getting close to the border when its aircraft fired at him.

(Worthy News) – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday that Democrats will work with Republicans to rework the GOP tax overhaul after taking back the majority next year.

Speaking at a Los Angeles event hosted by the group “Not One Penny,” the California Democrat said her party would aim to work toward a bipartisan “tax bill that creates growth, creates good paying jobs, as it reduces the deficit.”

Senate Democrats were more specific last month in suggesting which parts of the Trump-signed GOP tax cuts they might seek to undo. They proposed to raise $1 trillion by raising the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 25 percent, restoring the top individual tax rate to 39.6 percent, and undoing other tax breaks for high earners. (Worthy News) – House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., has sent a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding an uncensored copy of the document the bureau used to formally begin its investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and Trump’s presidential campaign.

The originating document has been the subject of much controversy. After some Republicans alleged that the FBI used never-verified parts of the Trump dossier as part of its reason to begin the investigation in July 2016, some “current and former” officials leaked to the New York Times that no, it was the case of George Papadopoulos, reported to U.S. authorities by foreign intelligence agents, that prompted the FBI investigation.

“The information that Mr. Papadopoulos gave to the Australians answers one of the lingering mysteries of the past year: What so alarmed American officials to provoke the FBI to open a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign months before the presidential election?” the Times reported on Dec. 30. “It was not, as Mr. Trump and other politicians have alleged, a dossier compiled by a former British spy hired by a rival campaign. A U.S. defense official said American intelligence agencies monitored the missile test March 26 from Plesetsk, a test center located about 150 miles northwest of Moscow. The missile is designated the PL-19 and known as the Nudol.

(Worthy News) – Congressional investigators have uncovered text messages between FBI lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, revealing that the bureau may have improperly coordinated with Department of Justice officials in an effort to rush the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant on former Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page, investigative journalist Sara Carter reported in an exclusive Tuesday. The communications were released to congressional investigators last week.

The texts reportedly show then-FBI Special Agent Strzok and his colleague, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, discussing the bureau’s difficulty in securing the warrant to spy on Carter Page. They finally succeeded in obtaining the warrant on Oct. 19, 2016, approximately one month after the conversation took place. There were then three subsequent renewals every 90 days for the warrant on Page.

As reported by Carter last week, the communications also suggest that there was coordination by Obama White House officials, the CIA, and the FBI in the investigation into President Donald Trump’s campaign. According to congressional sources, the documents revealed that former Obama White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough was involved in the initial investigation into Trump’s campaign and that “Comey, Brennan, and McDonough were working in concert to ensure an investigation was initiated.” [ Source: PJ Media (Read More…) ]
