Google Rejects Christian Publisher Ads that Mention Jesus

(Worthy News) – Google controls many of the ads seen by consumers online, which means they also have control of what consumers don’t see.

Now a Christian publishing house says Google is intentionally banning ad content from their website.

“This morning, we learned that Google ads will no longer accept anything related to the cph.org domain. They stated that the reason is because of the faith we express on our website,” wrote Concordia Publishing House CEO Bruce Kintz in a Facebook post, that has since been removed. North Korea nuclear test site partially collapsed: Chinese experts

North Korea nuclear test site partially collapsed: Chinese experts

(Worthy News) – North Korea’s underground nuclear test site has partially collapsed following a massive bomb blast last year, making it unusable, Chinese seismologists have concluded.

The North’s leader Kim Jong Un declared last week that his regime would halt nuclear and long-range missile tests and shut down its nuclear site at Punggye-ri under Mount Mantap in the country’s northeast.

The offer came days before his summit this Friday (Apr 27) with the South’s President Moon Jae-in, which is scheduled to be followed by a summit with US President Donald Trump. [ Source: Channel News Asia (Read More…) ]

Macron pushes ‘four pillars’ Iran deal whether or not Trump withdraws

Macron pushes ‘four pillars’ Iran deal whether or not Trump withdraws

(Worthy News) – France will pursue a “comprehensive” deal on Iran that addresses global concerns with its behavior, regardless whether US President Donald Trump withdraws from the international agreement governing its nuclear work, President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday.

Addressing a joint meeting of Congress, Macron said Paris was committed to preventing Tehran from ever acquiring nuclear arms. And he suggested that the 2015 nuclear accord might fall short of that standard.

“This agreement may not address all concerns – and very important concerns – this is true,” Macron said. “But we should not abandon it without having something substantial, and more substantial, instead. That’s my position.” [ Source: Jerusalem Post (Read More…) ]

Trump admin can’t block funding for Planned Parenthood program, judge rules

(Worthy News) – A federal judge in Washington state on Tuesday blocked a Trump administration directive to block funding to a Planned Parenthood program to prevent teen pregnancy in Western states.

U.S. District Judge Thomas Rice said blocking funds for the Teen Pregnancy Prevention program could hurt the public interest.

“The Court finds that [Health and Human Services] arbitrarily and capriciously terminated the TPP Program,” Rice wrote in his decision, according to the Spokesman-Review. “The Court determines that the public interest weighs in favor of [Planned Parenthood], as it would prevent harm to the community…and prevent loss of data regarding the effectiveness of teen pregnancy prevention.” [ Source: UPI (Read More…) ]

Rival Koreas’ leaders face high stakes at historic summit

Rival Koreas’ leaders face high stakes at historic summit

(Worthy News) – It may lack the punch of President Donald Trump’s vow to unleash “fire and fury” and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s “nuclear button” boasts, but the stakes will be high on Friday when Kim and South Korean President Moon Jae-in sit down on the southern side of the no man’s land that forms the world’s most heavily armed border.

Kim may never abandon the nuclear weapons that he claims are all that stand between him and annihilation, but if the Koreas and the United States are going to begin stepping away from what, until a few months ago, looked like a real possibility of nuclear war, then Kim and Moon must lay the foundation with a successful summit of their own. The fate of a planned Trump-Kim meeting, possibly next month, is also linked to what happens Friday.

The rival Koreas‘ long, bitter history will provide skeptics with ample fodder to doubt that any real deal can be reached. Since a tenuous Korean War cease-fire took hold in 1953, every major initiative to settle the world’s last remaining Cold War standoff has eventually stalled. DHS vows criminal charges as illegal immigrant caravan reaches U.S.

DHS vows criminal charges as illegal immigrant caravan reaches U.S.

(Worthy News) – As the illegal immigrant caravan arrives at the U.S. border, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen renewed her promise Wednesday night to prosecute as many of them as possible once they attempt to enter the country.

Ms. Nielsen also said those presenting false asylum claims — and even those who attempt to coach the migrants on how to make bogus claims — could face prosecution.

And she told those with valid asylum claims they should be making them in Mexico, where they are now, rather than skipping straight to the U.S., since Mexico is deemed a safe county where they can find relief from whatever they’re fleeing at home. [ Source: Washington Times (Read More…) ]
