Tehran terrified, ex-Pentagon official says

(Worthy News) – The Iranian regime is “quaking in its boots,” after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed secret nuclear-program documents appropriated by the Mossad, an ex-Pentagon Iran expert told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.

Harold Rhode spent 28 years at the Pentagon and studied in Iran before the 1979 revolution there. The fluent Farsi speaker, who is now associated with the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, said his view stems from a wave of recent Iranian infighting.

He said when things are not going well in Iran, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps officials and rival ayatollahs start attacking each other in a public blame game that expresses how exposed and vulnerable they feel their rule has become. [ Source: Jerusalem Post (Read More…) ]

Iowa Legislature Passes Legislation Banning Abortion When Fetal Heartbeat Is Detected

(Worthy News) – The Iowa State Legislature passed legislation on Wednesday aimed at banning abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected.

If Gov. Kim Reynolds (R.) signs the “heartbeat bill” into law, it will almost definitely spark legal challenges from abortion supporters who find it too restricting, the Associated Press reports.

The bill is currently on the way to the governor’s desk, and many expect her to sign it. Reynolds hasn’t spoken about the bill, but her press secretary said the governor “is 100 percent pro-life and will never stop fighting for the unborn.” [ Source: Washington Free Beacon (Read More…) ]

Texas Leads States Suing To Revoke DACA

(Worthy News) – A lawsuit filed Tuesday by Texas and six other states may finally result in the long-overdue termination of the DACA program, which was created without legal authority by President Obama in 2012 to allow children brought into the U.S. illegally to temporarily remain here under certain conditions.

The lawsuit does not address the question of whether allowing the roughly 700,000 illegal immigrants protected from deportation under DACA is a good policy or a bad one. Instead, the suit contends correctly that President Obama exceeded his authority under law and under the Constitution to create DACA without the approval of Congress and without taking other required steps.

Whatever the outcome of the suit, the ruling seems certain to be appealed and wind up in the U.S. Supreme Court. [ Source: Fox News (Read More…) ]
