(Worthy News) – The U.S. Supreme Court handed President Trump one of the biggest victories of his presidency Tuesday, upholding his travel ban restricting travel to the U.S. for foreign nationals from seven countries.

The court ruled 5-4 along ideological lines in favor of the Trump administration in the case, which marked the first time one of Trump’s policies was reviewed by the justices. Trump quickly praised the decision in a tweet:

Chief Justice John Roberts delivered the opinion for the majority. Justice Anthony Kennedy, the crucial swing vote in the case, sided with the conservative justices.

(Worthy News) – The Presbyterian Church USA passed several resolutions critical of Israel on Friday during the denomination’s 223rd General Assembly held in St. Louis, Mo.

The church assembly consists of commissioners elected by the individual presbyteries or churches.

(Worthy News) – The nation’s largest abortion provider is suing the Trump administration over its abstinence-only approach to sex education.

Last week, several affiliates of Planned Parenthood filed lawsuits against the US Department of Health and Human Services, saying its Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program is “ineffective” and “misleading” for children.

Arriving from neighboring Jordan, the Duke of Cambridge landed at Israel’s Ben-Gurion International Airport and then departed to Jerusalem, where he will stay at the elegant King David Hotel, site of the former administrative headquarters of the British mandate.

(Worthy News) – Israel has reportedly agreed to set up a floating dock in Cyprus to receive goods bound for the Gaza Strip as a way to ease the rehabilitation of the ailing Palestinian enclave, conditioning the plan on the return of two Israeli civilians and the bodies of two IDF soldiers held by the Hamas terror group.

Israel intends to put together a working plan in the coming months and then pitch it directly to the public in Gaza, bypassing the Hamas rulers of the coastal territory, Hadashot TV news reported Monday.

(Worthy News) – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Saturday night for the second day in a row with US negotiators Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt, even as the Palestinian Authority continues to boycott the team and characterize them as “spokespeople for the Israeli occupation” intent on normalizing “Israeli apartheid.”

The two senior US officials arrived in Israel late on Thursday on the final leg of a five-country Mideast tour that began in Jordan on Tuesday, and included Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar. They met for four hours with Netanyahu on Friday afternoon, joined in their talks by US Ambassador David Friedman, and Israel Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer.

(Worthy News) – The Trump administration is warning Ramallah to end its policy of compensating the families of Palestinians convicted of murder and terrorism in Israel, as it reviews whether to cut foreign aid to the organization.

US officials tell The Jerusalem Post that “nothing has changed” since the president signed into law the Taylor Force Act, a bill that requires the administration to freeze aid to the PA unless it halts the decades-old program.

Months earlier, Trump had called for a broad review of all US foreign aid, including of aid to the Palestinians. But one National Security Council spokesman said on Monday that the new law would tie their hands and require action from Palestinian leadership if they wanted aid to continue unaffected. (Worthy News) – Visiting the US capital on Monday, Yesh Atid party chairman Yair Lapid met with high-level American lawmakers, urging the United States to recognize Israeli sovereignty over in Golan Heights.

“It’s time for the world to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights,” he told reporters, shortly after he addressed the influential Brookings Institution on the same subject.
