Former U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl will be John McCain’s successor in the U.S. Senate

(Worthy News) – Gov. Doug Ducey on Tuesday publicly chose Jon Kyl, once one of the most powerful Republicans in the U.S. Senate, to succeed the late Sen. John McCain.

In a news conference at the Arizona Capitol, the Republican governor said he expected Kyl, 76, to “hit the ground running” when he arrives in Washington, D.C., Tuesday evening.

“It’s not the time for newcomers,” Ducey said. “Now is not the time for on-the-job training.” [ Source: AZ Central (Read More…) ]
