California Stops Protests, Counseling Outside Vaccination Sites and Abortion Clinics

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) signed legislation into law Friday that creates a 30-foot buffer zone between protesters and vaccination sites. The measure known as SB 742, also includes abortion clinics since Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the country, recently decided to give vaccinations in addition to their usual work of furnishing abortion procedures.

FBI arrests Maryland couple for attempted sale of restricted nuclear submarine data

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Saturday arrested a Maryland couple for allegedly attempting to sell “restricted data” about the design of US nuclear submarines to a foreign country, the Washington Examiner reports. US Department of the Navy nuclear engineer Jonathan Toebbe and his wife, Diana, have been charged under the Atomic Energy Act and are due to appear before a West Virginia court on October 12.

India: 200 Hindu nationalists attack church

A mob of 200 Hindu nationalists attacked a church in India’s Uttarakhand state last week, damaging the church and seriously injuring three Christian women, International Christian Concern (ICC) reports. Since the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata came to power in 2014, India has progressed from ranking 31 on the US Open Doors annual Watch List of countries that persecute Christians to ranking 10 in 2021.

Persecuted Afghan Christian faces deportation from India back to Afghanistan

An Afghan Christian who fled to India just days before the Taliban took over her country may be deported back to Afghanistan as her visa expires shortly, International Christian Concern reports. Even before the Taliban took over, Afghanistan ranked 2 on the US Open Doors Watch List 2021 of top 50 countries where Christians are persecuted; the situation for believers is all the more intensely dangerous.
