Worst-case global warming scenarios not credible: study

(Worthy News) – Earth’s surface will almost certainly not warm up four or five degrees Celsius by 2100, according to a study released Wednesday which, if correct, voids worst-case UN climate change predictions.

A revised calculation of how greenhouse gases drive up the planet’s temperature reduces the range of possible end-of-century outcomes by more than half, researchers said in the report, published in the journal Nature.

“Our study all but rules out very low and very high climate sensitivities,” said lead author Peter Cox, a professor at the University of Exeter. [ Source: AFP (Read More…) ]

New scandal in Obama’s war against Netanyahu

New scandal in Obama’s war against Netanyahu

(Worthy News) – Democrats in Washington have expressed outrage over still-unproved allegations the Trump campaign colluded with Russia in the 2016 U.S. presidential election to defeat their candidate, Hillary Clinton.

But Democrats and their media allies have been virtually silent regarding evidence of interference by Democrat Barack Obama in Israel’s elections.

A probe by the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations found that the Obama State Department gave $349,276 in U.S. taxpayer-funded grants to a political group in Israel called OneVoice to build a campaign operation that, subsequently, was used to try to persuade Israelis to vote against Netanyahu. Christian convert from Iran converting Muslims in Sweden

(Worthy News) – From escaping Iran through the mountains as a Muslim refugee, to surviving domestic abuse and imprisonment in a Turkish prison, to carving out a life in Sweden, Annahita Parsan’s story is the stuff of a Hollywood movie.

Parsan, a convert from Islam to Christianity and mother of two, has emerged as one of the most prominent religious figures in Europe, both because of her unlikely geographic and spiritual pilgrimage and her decision to reach out to Muslims with the gospel — at great personal risk.

“My life is completely different since coming to Jesus,” said the 47-year-old Parsan, whose memoir, “Stranger No More: A Muslim Refugee Story of Harrowing Escape, Miraculous Rescue and the Quiet Call of Jesus,” was published late last year. [ Source: Fox News (Read More…) ]

Russia could gain military dominance over NATO, commander says

(Worthy News) – Growing modernization could give the Russian military dominance over NATO if the military bloc fails to adapt, the top commander said Wednesday.

U.S. Army Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, NATO supreme allied commander, Europe, said in a news conference in Brussels that he has concerns about Russia’s military.

“I think that, as an alliance, we are dominant. There are domains within this that were challenged. I think cyber is one of those. [Russia is] very competent in that,” he said. [ Source: UPI (Read More…) ]
