Offer Of Quote

This is one of the foremost and important tasks that are done by packing and moving companies.  On receipt of a telephonic or written enquiry from the customers, the packing companies send their representatives. They inspect the entire personal belongings and then offer a quote. Most reputed packers and movers do not charge anything for offering quotes. However, the quotes are valid only for a limited period of time and are subject to changes if there is a big change in consumables like gas and fuel.

They Offer Packing And Other Materials

Once the quote has been accepted and the commercials have been settled, they send their experienced staff to take care of the unloading, packing, listing, inventory taking and other such jobs.  They also provide the right type of packing materials for handing the job. This takes some time and would depend on the number of items that have to be transported and moved. They do all this without causing too much of disturbance to the family members and others. They also have the right wherewithal and experience and expertise to transport pets and also heavy and delicate items like piano and glass items.

They Load The Items On To Van Or Truck

This is a major job and only experienced professionals in the packing and moving industry would be able to do a good job on it. They have the best of infrastructure and people to do a good job. The loading is done quite effortlessly and professionally even if your home is located a few floors above and even if it located in narrow lanes and bylanes.

They Take Care Of Insurance & Other Documentation

This is another important and vital job that is undertaken by these professionals. The insurance covers the material and also the staff and it also takes into account the third party insurance needs. They also handle documentation and permissions required for inter-state movements and also movements from one country to another.

Hence, at the end of the day, there are a number of useful and valuable services provided by packing and moving companies in Oklahoma City.

US Republicans launch bid to force House vote on BDS

(Worthy News) – Republicans want to force a vote on a controversial bill meant to oppose the anti-Israel boycott.

The bill, which earlier this year passed the Senate, has been held up in part because the Democrats, who control the US House of Representatives, say it poses a threat to First Amendment free speech protections.

The bill would uphold the right of states to ban Israel boycotters from doing business with the states, and protect the states from lawsuits. [ Source: Times of Israel (Read More…) ]

Congressional leaders briefed on classified Iran threat

(Worthy News) – Congressional leaders received a classified briefing on Iran from the White House Thursday following criticism that lawmakers have been kept out of the loop about recent military moves in the Middle East.

Members of the so-called Gang of Eight were tight-lipped as they left the briefing. The ranking member of the Senate intelligence committee, Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia, refused to comment on the classified information discussed but said more lawmakers should be informed of the Iran threat.

Classified briefings on Iran will also be given next week to the full House and Senate. [ Source: Times of Israel (Read More…) ]

Iran’s regional proxies ensure it will never fight alone

(Worthy News) – In the event of war with the United States, Iran “will not be alone.”

That message was delivered by the leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah militant group to a mass rally in Beirut in February marking the 40th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution. “If America launches war on Iran, it will not be alone in the confrontation, because the fate of our region is tied to the Islamic Republic,” Hassan Nasrallah said.

From Lebanon and Syria to Iraq, Yemen, and the Gaza Strip, Tehran has significantly expanded its footprint over the past decade, finding and developing powerful allies in conflict-ravaged countries across the Middle East. Hezbollah is one of the most prominent members of the self-styled “axis of resistance,” armed groups with tens of thousands of Shiite Muslim fighters beholden to Tehran. Chinese, Russian hypersonic weapons advances a growing concern, Air Force chief says

(Worthy News) – The U.S. cannot turn a blind eye to Russia and China’s rapid advances in the field of hypersonic weapons and must expedite efforts to build up its own weapons in the field, the Air Force’s top official said Thursday.

Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson listed hypersonics as one of several next-generation weapons technologies that could pose a risk to the U.S. and its allies in the near term.

“I do not think we should be naive in what we are facing” from Beijing and Moscow, in terms of their staggering advances in hypersonics, as well as artificial intelligence and 5G telecommunications, the outgoing secretary said. [ Source: Washington Times (Read More…) ]

Kurdistan region worried as U.S. and Iran tensions grow

(Worthy News) – The United States ordered its non-emergency government employees to leave its Baghdad embassy and the consulate in Erbil on Wednesday. Erbil is the capital of the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), and locals are concerned that US-Iran tensions will now engulf the Kurdish region at a sensitive time. The Kurdistan region is strategically important and has been a center of security in the area between the Iraqi central government, Turkey and Iran.

Over the last two weeks, the US has warned of Iranian threats across the region and that any attacks by Iran or its proxies will result in retaliation. According to reports, the US has also shared information with Baghdad and with European allies that indicate direct Iranian threats in Iraq. For instance, a BBC Arabic report said that Pompeo had handed Iraqis evidence of Iranian plans, and other reports indicated Iranian-backed Shia militias had deployed missiles in Iraq.

The Kurdistan region knows Iran’s capabilities well. Last September, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired ballistic missiles at Iranian Kurdish dissident groups in northern Iraq’s Koya. For years, some Kurdish groups that oppose the regime in Tehran have been based in northern Iraq. Iran has warned that any moves by those groups will be met with force. Promise Keepers to relaunch men’s ministry with first stadium rally in 20 years

(Worthy News) – After years of fading and stagnation, the once popular evangelical men’s ministry Promise Keepers is ushering in a “new era” with plans to host its first national stadium event in over two decades next summer in Texas.

On July 31, 2020, Promise Keepers aims to convene 80,000 people at AT&T Stadium in Dallas for the official relaunch of the national men’s gathering, which once saw hundreds of thousands from various denominational backgrounds gathered at its 1997 “Stand in the Gap” rally in Washington, D.C.

“Promise Keepers struggled. It really needed a new board and fusion of energy, a new vision,” Promise Keepers Chairman Ken Harrison told The Christian Post. “It has all those things now. Promise Keepers had to get back to the basics of what it was. … For Promise Keepers, we had to realize what is its brand and identity.” [ Source: Christian Post (Read More…) ]

21 Christian leaders: Equality Act would gut religious freedom protections

(Worthy News) – Twenty-one prominent conservative Christian leaders including Franklin Graham and James Dobson are calling on congressional leaders to oppose the pro-LGBT Equality Act because of the “threats to religious liberty” the legislation poses.

In the letter sent to both House and Senate leaders as well as Vice President Mike Pence, the religious and political leaders decried the much talked about bill that, among other things, would codify discrimination protections on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation in federal law.

“Not only is it incompatible with God’s Word (the Bible) and the historic teaching of the church, but the Equality Act is also riddled with threats to religious liberty and the sanctity of human life,” the letter stresses. “For these reasons, we must state that we adamantly oppose this proposed legislation.” [ Source: Christian Post (Read More…) ]
