Iranian cleric: Tel Aviv, Haifa will be razed to the ground in future Israel-Hezbollah conflict

(Worthy News) – A top Iranian cleric in Tehran has warned Israel that if it “dares” to attack Hezbollah, the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa would be “razed to the ground,” Iranian media outlets reported on Friday. The Islamic cleric referred to recent remarks by Israeli officials concerning the possibility of a potential conflict with the terrorist organization in Lebanon in 2018.

Speaking to a group of worshipers in Tehran on Friday, Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami claimed Israel has already attempted to defeat Hezbollah “one or two times,” but the terrorist organization had turned Tel Aviv and Haifa into “ghosts cities” with 70km-range missiles.

“Hezbollah is stronger today, much stronger than it ever was,” Khatami said, as quoted by Iranian news outlets. “I tell the Zionists, if you are willing to see Tel Aviv and Haifa razed to the ground, you can try your chance once again.” [ Source: Jerusalem Online (Read More…) ]

Iran Hit by Global Cyber Attack That Left US Flag on Screens

(Worthy News) – Hackers have attacked networks in a number of countries including data centers in Iran where they left the image of a US flag on screens along with a warning: “Don’t mess with our elections,” the Iranian IT ministry said on Saturday.

“The attack apparently affected 200,000 router switches across the world in a widespread attack, including 3,500 switches in our country,” the Communication and Information Technology Ministry said in a statement carried by Iran’s official news agency IRNA.

The statement said the attack, which hit internet service providers and cut off web access for subscribers, was made possible by a vulnerability in routers from Cisco which had earlier issued a warning and provided a patch that some firms had failed to install over the Iranian new year holiday. Richest 1% on target to own two-thirds of all wealth by 2030

Richest 1% on target to own two-thirds of all wealth by 2030

(Worthy News) – The world’s richest 1% are on course to control as much as two-thirds of the world’s wealth by 2030, according to a shocking analysis that has lead to a cross-party call for action.

World leaders are being warned that the continued accumulation of wealth at the top will fuel growing distrust and anger over the coming decade unless action is taken to restore the balance.

An alarming projection produced by the House of Commons library suggests that if trends seen since the 2008 financial crash were to continue, then the top 1% will hold 64% of the world’s wealth by 2030. Even taking the financial crash into account, and measuring their assets over a longer period, they would still hold more than half of all wealth. [ Source: UK Guardian (Read More…) ]

Report: Egypt, Saudi Arabia urge Hamas to end ‘Great March of Return’ protests

(Worthy News) – Both Saudi Arabia and Egypt have called on militant organization Hamas to end the annual weekly protests it is holding for the “Great March of Return,” according to an Egyptian source.

An Egyptian Foreign Ministry official was anonymously quoted as saying that, in exchange for halting the protests, Egypt would ensure that the Rafah border crossing, which Egypt controls, would be regularly opened. The source said that the agreement had come under the direction of the Saudis.

“The situation in Gaza is nearing an explosion towards anyone blockading (the Strip),” the source said, “and therefore there is a fear that Palestinian anger will turn toward Egypt in the coming weeks.” [ Source: Jerusalem Post (Read More…) ]
