Germany Fails to Classify Hezbollah as a Terrorist Organization

(Worthy News) – Germany will not designate Hezbollah, an Iranian-back Shiite group, as a terrorist organization according to various news reports.

The White House has been pressuring its European Allies to curb Iranian influence in the Middle East.

Last month, the United Kingdom declared that all factions of Hezbollah are banned in the country.

“Hezbollah is continuing in its attempts to destabilize the fragile situation in the Middle East, and we are no longer able to distinguish between their already banned military wing and the political party,” Britain’s home secretary Sajid Javid said.

Germany disagreed with its allies and claimed that the political arm of Hezbollah remained relevant in Lebanese society as the group controls three of 30 ministries in Lebanon’s government.

Hezbollah was founded in 1982 by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. It has been listed as a terrorist organization by the United States since 1997. In 2013, the European Union classified Hezbollah’s military wing as a terrorist group.

White House Seeks Additional Wall Funding

(Worthy News) – On Monday, the White House will request from the U.S. Congress an additional $8.6 billion to help cover the wall that was promised by President Donald Trump to be built along the southern border with Mexico to fight illegal immigration and drug trafficking, Reuters reported.

President Donald Trump’s request was based on a 2017 plan presented by Custom and Border Protection officials at the cost of roughly $18 billion.

The White House budget proposal is six times greater than was allocated by Congress for border projects in each of the past two fiscal years.

Earlier this year, a battle between the executive branch and the legislative branch of government led to a five-week partial shutdown of the Federal government which ended in January.

Alabama Judge Allows Lawsuit Of Aborted Fetus

(Worthy News) – An Alabama judge has allowed a wrongful death lawsuit to be filed with respect to an aborted embryo.

The case has been authorized by Madison County Probate Judge Frank Barger against the Alabama Women’s Center for Reproductive Alternatives following a Madison County judge who approved a landmark petition to establish an “estate” to an aborted fetus — and to permit the girl’s ex-boyfriend, Ryan Magers, to represent the estate.

“To my knowledge that has never been done in the United States,” Magers’ lawyer, Brent Helms, said of the judge’s decision.

“The judge has said that Baby Roe is a person. Part of what we hoped to establish is personhood for aborted children in Alabama.”

The ruling came months after 59 percent of Alabama voters approved a “personhood law.” The laws ensure constitutional rights to “the unborn child in all manners and measures lawful and appropriate.”
