Netanyahu: the option of reoccupying Gaza is still on the table

(Worthy News) – Israel has not ruled out the option of reoccupying Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday morning in an interview with KAN news.

“All the options are still on the table, including entering Gaza and occupying it, out of consideration of what is best for Israel,” he told the radio station. “But that is the last option and not the first.”

Satellite Images Show Extensive Damage From Alleged Israeli Air Strike in Syria

(Worthy News) – Satellite images of the damage caused by an air strike near the city of Aleppo, Syria that has been attributed to Israel were released on Thursday.

According to Israeli news site Walla, the pictures were taken by ImageSat International (ISI), and show two buildings attacked on the night of March 27 in the industrial area of Shaykh Najjar, northeast of Aleppo.

Reports indicated that seven soldiers were killed in the attack, which was believed to be targeting an Iranian weapons storehouse. Syrian opposition sources said other targets were a logistics center controlled by Shi’a paramilitaries, along with a site near a military airport in the area that was targeted for a second time in less than a year. Trump gives little comfort to carmakers by swapping border closure for tariffs

(Worthy News) – The U.S. auto industry, which risked losing access to Mexican suppliers if President Trump closed the southern border, received scant comfort when he walked back the threat in favor of tacking tariffs onto vehicles and parts.

If anything, the president’s vagueness only increased the uncertainty troubling the industry.

Trump had originally said he might shutter the border altogether this week, then shifted to blocking large sections rather than a blanket action. On Thursday, he pivoted again and gave Mexico one year to stop the illegal flow of drugs and migrants to the U.S. illegally or face tariffs on vehicles, followed by a closure. Despite Further Talks, No US-China Deal Yet

(Worthy News) – The U.S. president and the vice premier of China confirmed on Thursday that while significant progress has been made, there is no new trade agreement yet between the world’s two largest economies.

“We’re certainly getting a lot closer,” Trump said sitting at his desk in the Oval Office with Chinese Vice Premier Liu He alongside him.

Announcement of a deal could come in “the next four weeks, maybe less, maybe more” and at that time, something “monumental could be announced,” he said, adding, “We are rounding the turn. We’ve made a lot of progress.” [ Source: VOA News (Read More…) ]
