GA Dem Called Heartbeat Bill ‘Abominable and Evil,’ ‘Bad for Morality,’ Implying Abortion Is Morally Superior

(Worthy News) – Planned Parenthood leaders are calling Georgia’s heartbeat bill “blatantly unconstitutional.” That’s to be expected. But what’s somewhat surprising was the way the Democratic Party’s former candidate for governor described it.

Stacey Abrams, the former speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives who nearly won the governor’s race in 2018, called the pro-life bill “abominable and evil.” Those two words are usually used by pro-lifers in describing the horrors of abortion, not the other way around.

In her MSNBC interview, Abrams went on to say the heartbeat bill is “bad for morality and our humanity.” [ Source: CBN News (Read More…) ]

After night of vote-counting, New Right appears just short of entering Knesset

(Worthy News) – The New Right party appeared just short of crossing the election threshold to enter the Knesset, according to updated results released early Thursday with several thousand ballots still to be counted.

After the regular votes were counted, Education Minister Naftali Bennett and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked’s New Right party narrowly failed to enter the Knesset, garnering just 3.14% of the vote, some 4,300 votes under the 3.25% electoral threshold.

According to the update released at 6:28 a.m. on Thursday, New Right had crept up to 3.22%, just 0.03% short of its target that would lift it from no seats to four seats. [ Source: Times of Israel (Read More…) ]

Satanic Temple challenges Missouri abortion law

(Worthy News) – A member of the Satanic Temple in Missouri is challenging a state law that requires women seeking an abortion to wait three days, saying that it violates the member’s religious freedom.

The Satanic Temple doesn’t believe in a literal Satan but sees the biblical Satan as a metaphor for rebellion against tyranny.

The group’s appeal to the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of a woman listed only as “Judy Doe” was announced Wednesday by the Salem, Massachusetts-based Satanic Temple. It alleges that the law violates the woman’s First Amendment right to religious freedom. [ Source: Fox News (Read More…) ]

Gantz, Lapid concede defeat

(Worthy News) – Blue and White Party Chairman Benny Gantz delivered a speech Wednesday evening, together with Yair Lapid, following the election results which indicate that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will continue to a fifth term.

While admitting that he will not be the one forming a governing coalition, Gantz expressed satisfaction with his party’s impressive success at achieving an equal amount of Knesset seats as the Likud, even if he unable to form coalition. “We have established a genuine leadership alternative,” he said.

“Netanyahu gathered all of the extremists and cannibalized his partners,” Gantz continued. “The result is quite unprecedented and indicates the level of expectation (for an alternative) … Our party consists of right, left, religious and secular. In 70 days we managed to achieve the same amount of Knesset seats as a party which exists since the 1970s.” [ Source: YNet news (Read More…) ]
